Located in the Buffer Zone of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) and right next to the beautiful Irai lake and spread over 14 acres of land with a variation of trees, Irai Safari Retreat is one of a kind of resort in the Tadoba area.
The journey began almost 10 years back with a couple of cottages and a small kitchen and later grew into the dream of a boutique jungle resort compromising of eight luxury tents and nine spacious and luxurious rooms.
You will get a feeling of an old-world jungle lodge as soon as you walk in and though the winding pathway from the reception to the dining area and then to the swimming pool. The interiors are thoughtfully done to reflect a classical taste of decorative arts from the furniture and lounging area to the paintings made by local artists.
Each cottage has two spacious rooms with large bathrooms and private sit outs to enjoy the sounds of the many birds that have made the Irai grounds their home. All tents are air conditioned, with comfortable bathrooms, television sets, and a mini fridge. And each has their own private sit – out area to enjoy the sunset over Irai lake.
We also have a spacious conference room which otherwise serves as a library and play room above the dining area.
There is a small gym and open dining area where our guests can enjoy barbeques, bonfires and an experience of dining in the open. Our swimming pool is located not far from the dining area.
Besides the Safari’s into the Jungle, for spotting the big cat, there are several other activities one can do, like, boat safari, Nature walk, cycling, Birding, night safari, overnight stay in the forest and trips to nearby attractions like the butterfly park and Bhadravati pottery village.
The overall experience is well-rounded and focuses on both , rest and relaxation as well as activities that leave you refreshed.
